What Up Dawg Reactions

There are some customers and even employees that have nothing bad to say about "What Up Dawg".
Both Jake Lew, a 20-year-old customer, and Haley Celovsky, a 21-year-old employee, say there's nothing they would change about "What Up Dawg".
Celovsky, says that not only is "What Up Dawg" her favorite place she's worked, but she loves the food.  Her favorite thing on the menu?  "The Hebrew National", a 100% kosher, all beef hot-dog.
Lew's favorite thing on the menu is a hot-dog with chili, mustard and raw onions on a poppy seed bun.
They both also agree that "What Up Dawg" is affordable.  Celovsky said that "What Up Dawg" is marketed for both students and families and one of the reasons is the pricing.
Lew said that last time he was there, he got two "dawgs" and the price was $6, which he said he thought was a pretty good deal.
Lew also said he believes the location will work in favor of the bar because of the traffic.
Robert Wiseman, a Professor of Management at Michigan State University, said he agrees that the location is good but he doesn't think a bar can rely on solely that.    He said he thinks odds are against "What Up Dawg" surviving.
Wiseman has never had "What Up Dawg".

What Up Dawg

"What Up Dawg", the beer and hot dog joint, brought something different Michigan State University's campus.
"What Up Dawg" is located at 317 M.A.C. in East Lansing, Mich. right near many of East Lansing's most popular bars like Ricks, Harpers and the Post.  It is also located on the way home for many students after hitting the bars.
"What Up Dawg" has options for all types of people.  Not only do they offer hot dogs anywhere from Bratwurst to Italian Sausage but they also offer chicken, kosher and even soy dogs for vegetarians.  Their menu also offers many different toppings like sweet relish and sauerkraut.
Once you pick out your "dawg"  it's time to choose a side.  You can choose fries, chips, a soft drink or a nice cold beer.  If you order their pickles, chips, "Everfresh" juice or their Detroit or Flint chili, you will be eating items that were made in Michigan.
"What Up Dawg" also offers specials and quirky contests depending on the day.
